After a negative opening, Nifty remained range-bound between 24,115 and 24,190 for most of the session. Buying momentum in the final hour pushed the index above 24,200, with Nifty eventually settling positive with a gain of 0.48 percent post the closing auction session (CAS).

The Nifty Midcap 100 index outperformed the Nifty 50, settling positive with a gain of 0.54 percent.
